Fairy Knight

One of my favorite pictures that I posted here was the "House Medici Satyr" ( velociraptor-king.deviantart.c… ) based off one of my friends from a fantasy convention. This picture is a continuation of that theme: "Good Friends in Glorified Costumes/Characters Because I Love Them and I Want to Make Them Look Cool." This is my dear friend Lauren in her costume times ten (if she's reading this then we need to go shopping for affordable chain mail). I wanted to submit something for the Fairy Contest for Myths and Legends, but I didn't want to make some sickeningly cute Tinkerbell rip-off dancing with chipmunks or something. That's not my Lauren. I got the whole idea from reading the contest rules and thinking, "What kind of weapon would a small fae wield? Something size appropriate. How about a steak knife?" The rest sort of evolved from there.
